Rollingpix V2.0: Orlando, Florida; From 2005 directly up until last year I was blogging about wheelchair sports as"Rollingpix," until last year when I got sick,(coma sick,and life almost ended AGAIN! I was in and out of life for months, I got 2 Stage 4 pressure sores and it's been back and forth to the hospital, SNF, hospital etc, etc.) I forgot my p-word to the old Rollingpix and I was so sick for a while I gave up on blogging, almost on life. I'm still in a nursing home and completely starting over.... again.This is the 3rd time in 12 years! This latest experience in a nursing home has completely changed me, it's almost like the people in here are sight unseen, unheard and forgotten. Many of them have no visitors, and lie in bed or sit in the hallway for hours by themselves. These are our grandmothers and grandfathers, aunts and uncles, sisters and brothers, World War II and Vietnam veterans may have been left to die. The ratio of nurses and CNA's is like 15 to 1, what's that like 4 min. per patient per hour. It's impossible to provide a decent quality of care when all they have is 4 min. to give, and Medicare wants to cut back MORE!
